CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – This weekend you can enjoy antique tractors and engines, or modern airplanes, or even mind-boggling magic at events across Clarksville.
Antique Tractor & Engine Club Fall Fest: The Montgomery County Antique Tractor & Engine Club will display antique tractors, engines and farm machinery, with activities for children and adults, including rides and demonstrations, all at the John Bartee Ag Center, 1921 Rossview Road. The two-day event will be 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. It’s free, but donations are accepted.
Just Plane Fun Days: The Clarksville Regional Airport and Jet Center will bring down local tenants and their planes for everyone to view, stellar food trucks, free bouncy house play for the kids, and adult beverages. It will be held at the Clarksville Regional Airport, 200 Airport Road from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the public.
Magic of the Mind show at Customs House: Watch the “Dynamic Duo of Deception,” Jeff and Kimberly, as they entertains guests with world-class magic and mind-reading. You can watch the show at the Customs House Museum and Cultural Center, 200 S. Second St. from 8 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Museum Store.
I Am They Concert: The Downtown Commons hosts a free concert for the pop worship band whose hits include “Scars” and “Faithful God.” The free event is open to the public, and will be held at the Downtown Commons at 215 Legion St. this Sunday 6:30-9 p.m. Food trucks are on site; just bring your own chairs and blankets and enjoy the show.
Movies in the Park: Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to watch “Coco” this weekend. Movies begin at sunset Saturday, with pre-show activities and performances beginning about one hour before showtime. The free show is at Heritage Park, 1241 Peachers Mill Road. Food is available for purchase from food vendors on-site. Please leave pets and alcohol at home.
Picnics & Pickin’ at Historic Collinsville: Enjoy live music from a 19th century style string band and demonstrations of axe throwing, corn shelling, spinning and weaving, herbal medicine and writing with dip pens at 4711 Weakley Road from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and above, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children ages 5 and under. Bring a picnic to enjoy.
Into the Woods: Presented by the Roxy Regional Theatre, this event will showcase the works of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Brothers Grimm-inspired musical, Into the Woods, all at 100 Franklin St. starting at 2 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under.
Little Free Library Ribbon Cutting & Family Fun Day: Bring the family for food, activities, giveaways and prizes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at North Central Institute, 168 Jack Miller Blvd. Bring gently used book donations. Please register online to attend this free event.
Home Energy Expo: The City of Clarksville and CDE Lightband are holding a free event Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Burt-Cobb Recreation Center with energy saving workshops, fun games and activities, door prize giveaways and free TVA energy kits.
