Upper Gulf Coast crop meeting Jan. 24 in Wharton – AgriLife Today

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offices in Wharton, Matagorda, Jackson and Colorado counties will hold the annual Upper Gulf Coast Feed Grain and Cotton Conference on Jan. 24.  
The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Crescent Hall on the Wharton County Fairgrounds, 6036 Farm-to-Market Road 961, Wharton. Onsite registration begins at 8 a.m.
There is no cost to attend and a catered lunch is included, thanks to the event sponsors. In order to plan for the meal, preregistration is requested by Jan. 20 by contacting the AgriLife Extension office in Wharton County at 979-532-3310 or visiting https://tx.ag/Jan24RSVP.
There are Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units also available at no cost– two integrated pest management and one laws and regulations for pesticide license holders. The event’s one-hour Auxin training will fulfill the annual auxin training requirements for dicamba and 2,4-D choline products. Five CEUs for certified crop advisers are pending.
