The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s December trade leads, circulated in the monthly newsletter of its International Trade Division, revealed a hunger around the world for food items sourced from the Peach State.
The December notice included requests for feed additives for cattle, pork and chicken from Brazil, where the appetite for Georgia-grown products seems to be strong each month, along with prepackaged nut products to Chile.
Across the world in Asia, Japanese buyers were in search of peanuts, while Chinese buyers asked for breeders of cattle and sheep.
In Europe, an Italian buyer was also in search of peanuts, hoping to purchase up to 10 metric tons per month.
Such leads are mainly sourced from the state’s 12 offices covering 13 countries and the European Union.
