The U.S. Department of Agriculture will release four major reports on Jan. 12: The Crop Production Estimates, the January World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates, Quarterly Grain Stocks and Winter Wheat Seedings.
According to Randy Martinson of Martinson Ag Risk management, trade estimates expect a slight increase in corn and soybean yields, a slight increase in harvested acreage for corn and a slight decrease in harvested acreage for soybeans. On the demand side, Martinson said expectations are USDA will decrease wheat and corn exports and may also lower corn’s ethanol and feed demand estimates and crush estimates for soybeans.
You can watch the January Crop Production and WASDE Agricultural Statistics Board Briefing live right here at 11:05 a.m. Central time.
