A popular farmers market vendor is opening an Allentown taproom – The Morning Call

An Allentown business is about to hit a high point.
Highpoint Kombucha, a familiar name for those who frequent the Lehigh Valley’s farmers markets, is about to open a store and taproom at 905 Harrison St. There will be a soft opening at 4 p.m. Thursday.
A fixture at the Emmaus and Trexlertown farmers markets, owner Laura Valasakos’ business focuses on crafting artisan kombucha, which is a fermented tea beverage thought to improve digestive health (and just taste good). Highpoint offers an immense array of flavors — such as elderberry and mango habanero — using ingredients sourced from Lehigh Valley farms.
The taproom and store will offer a dozen flavors on tap, as well as cans and bottles for purchase.
Hours for now will be 4-7 p.m. Thursdays and Friday. Enter through the HiJinx Brewing door and travel down the building, following the signs for Highpoint.
